The Challenge

How was this possible?

Understanding the production process was the first step toward establishing a functional and effective traceability system. It was also essential to interface with the end customer, understand the objective set for product quality, and, perhaps even more importantly, determine which data was required to ensure consistent traceability and quality.

The secret lies in the SCADA

All of this was made possible by SINACON, Ferrazza’s SCADA system for the supervision, control, and collection of production data. Like every other product and service we provide, SINACON is also supplied as a fully customized product, from the data to be collected to the graphics used for the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).

The Intervention

Following a comprehensive analysis of the entire production process, we designed and installed an automatic tracking system capable of monitoring every processing stage, tracking the manufactured material with specific data and characteristics, thereby offering granular control over the production chain.

All data, collected separately at each workstation, is saved in a dedicated database, allowing for the easy retrieval of information regarding any manufactured material.

In this way, not only is there a historical database useful for verifying that every product fully meets the required values, but it is also possible to quickly trace any product that later proves defective, in order to immediately isolate and correct the causes of the defect.

This product traceability system can be installed on any production line and, a feature increasingly in demand, guarantees a production plant that is in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
