Soybean oil treatment plant
Ferrazza oversaw the installation and commissioning of a plant for soybean oil treatment in Santo Domingo (Dominican Rep.). After various installation steps (which started in 2013), we finally completed the assembly and commissioning in operation of the electrical part of the entire plant, which uses our advanced technologies for industrial automation.
It is a modern and complex facility designed to manage the various stages of treatment of the product: from the loading of soybean oil from the storage silos to the refining plant, to the filling of the silos with the finished product up to the bottling of the oil.
For the commissioning of the system, we installed a general electrical panel and several electrical panels distributed near the various areas of the plant.
In detail, we equipped every single zone panel with a Touch Screen operator panel that permits the management of the plant locally and allows the display and the setting of the work and alarm levels of the various zones as well as a complete diagnostic on the status of the part of the system connected to the relevant area panel.
All the panels are connected via the profinet network to a general panel equipped with a supervision PC (SCADA) installed on the Front Panel, which consents the control of the entire system from a single location.
The SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) allows a real-time control of the entire plant, the regulation of process parameters, the monitoring of real data and alarm diagnostics and a visualization of the system status even remotely so any modifications or troubleshooting to be carried out directly by Ferrazza srl.
Creating this machine was an important goal for our company, because Ferrazza has always been committed to the study and design of systems and technologically advanced solutions for the automation and control of industrial processes.
