Reborn: Ferrazza’s retrofitting

When an industrial machine is near the end of its operative life, the only solution seems to change it to keep the production line working. Another solution exists, though, a way to improve production without buying expensive new machineries: retrofitting.

Why is it important to retrofit?

Retrofitting is an update of all the electric and electronic parts in an industrial machine, so that it can be integrated in a modern production line. It is important to note that a retrofit made by Ferrazza does not interfere with any mechanical part, leaving the machine itself untouched.

At the same time, it is way more convenient to update control and automation systems, that tend to become obsolete much sooner than mechanical components.

This type of electric and electronic update is the ideal when old machines are purchased and need to be revamped. Revamping old machineries is also the best solution to then integrate the revamped machines in a modern production line, with performances as good as new machines.

A retrofit can also be applied to entire production plants that need to be put back to production – let’s also keep in mind that a complete revamping can cost up to 50% less than a whole new machine or production plant.

ReBorn: Ferrazza’s retrofitting
